This is a Lakshmi Narayan sacred pooja Shankh. The Lakshmi shank is known as Lakshmi Narayan shank. It is a rare shank which is rarely found in nature. It has smooth texture. It is white with occasional beige colored linings. This is considered very auspicious when kept in Pooja altar. Also used to worship and offer water / milk to GOD. Dakshinavarti shankhs are shankhs that are open towards the right hand and Narayan shankhs are shank that are open towards left hand.
